So could this be because the people of MS were not happy with Obama so they voted Republican? I don't know much about either candidate other than their party affiliation.

Monkey has health care problems, cockroaches are in panic. Brown is the exterminator. Too bad, how sad. Bummer. Woohoo!

Default Scott Brown wins the race

The first Republican to hold this seat since 1953.

My favorite quote from the loser Coakley is:

Sometimes it is more important to walk faithfully than to arrive

Which is what a LOSER would say.

A clear referendum on Obozo's administration no wait it's Bush's fault.

Brown ran a grass roots campaign and Coakley called in all the politicans to help her.

It should start to get very interesting now I don't think the messiah is ready to let a little thing like the people's votes derail his plans that easilyThis may just be the beginning of a very "turbulent period" for this great country

This is truly monumental following recent elections in NJ and VA where Republicans won surprising races. Democrats are in deep poop come November. Wake up now or find your campaign O-V-E-R! In as blue a state as MA, let's face it - the people HAVE SPOKEN!!!!!!!!!!

Great acceptance speech by Brown. Noted that the Independents put him in office. Given that 51% of Mass voters are "independent", that's a true statement.

I HOPE this is a good thing, but surely could turn out to be a disaster too.

But for now, I'm happy with the historic win.

The thing that Coakley did wrong was her support of a BRUTAL child rapist/abuser.

I guess the Mass. Democratic voters did not follow Ed Shultz' advice; "I would vote 10 times if I could, just to keep the bast###s out".

Acorn must have been asleep!

Admittedly, I am a 'glass is half empty' kind of guy. This, however, along with the NJ and VA governors race results gives me a glimmer of hope for our country. We are winning some battles, but it's still going to be a long war. Hopefully, we can hold out 'till all our force is brought to bear.

I cannot express how happy it makes me to see the liberals getting their noses rubbed in the same stuff they have been holding our heads under for some time!!!!!!!!!

Hold fast!

In this election that's really all you need to know. It's is helpful to know that this is the seat Ted Kennedy occupied for a century. Also helpful to know that Massachew...... Masuchutsc....... Massachuctehet....... MA is very liberal but no longer as Democrat as it once was. If the Republicans can now just get their house in order.....

This is GREAT news -
Even the New York Times is not dreaming up excuses, but admitting this is an anti-Obozo vote and an anti-health care vote!

With a five point spread, they can't even start crying about hanging chads this time -

From the New York Times this morning:
The election left Democrats in Congress scrambling to salvage a bill overhauling the nation’s health care system, which the late Mr. Kennedy had called “the cause of my life.” Mr. Brown has vowed to oppose the bill, and once he takes office the Democrats will no longer control the 60 votes in the Senate needed to overcome filibusters.

There were immediate signs that the bill had become imperiled. House members indicated they would not quickly pass the bill the Senate approved last month.

And after the results were announced, one centrist Democratic senator, Jim Webb of Virginia, called on Senate leaders to suspend any votes on the Democrats’ health care legislation until Mr. Brown is sworn into office. The election, he said, was a referendum on both health care and the integrity of the government process.

Beyond the bill, the election of a man supported by the Tea Party movement also represented an unexpected reproach by many voters to President Obama after his first year in office, and struck fear into the hearts of Democratic lawmakers, who are already worried about their prospects in the midterm elections later this year.
