Not Coyotes (yet ) but wild feral dogs, feral cats, dingoes, deer, iraqi's, taliban, Khmer Rougue and other pests
I make gillies suits here for some of our folks and have sent a few to Marine and US Army snipers to suit terrain, remember terrain varies and so should your suit. G'day to you Larry welcome eh!! cheers jack |

The Coyotes here in Arizona are as smart as any and I've never had any trouble calling them into shooting range, I don't see how a Ghuilli suit would help except make the hunting uncomfortable.

When I hunt Antelop in New Mexico. The only problem is all the sticky stuff that gets caught up in it. But that is going to happen when ever you use it I guess. Just something to deal with.

Idk what the law is in other states, but up here in WI, I'm pretty certain you have to have 50% blaze orange on. I only deer hunt. Idk what the rules are for other game.

Welcome to the club, Larry. We can always use a few more of us Texans in here.
![]() Done very little hunting in my ghillie and that was just for fun... Any coyotes that I've shot was from such a distance that I could have been dressed as a rodeo clown. ![]() ![]() ![]() Hey Jack... You got any pictures to share? I'll try to scrounge up a pic of mine. Crpdeth

How many rattlesnakes have you meant face to face? I think I would hunt them from a higher vantage point.

Good point you have there. However I dont think the snakes are the problem at least not that I have found. I will tell you this the bigger concern is spiders and scorpions. That is basically why I only use mine in New Mexico. I have not found bugs to be a problem up there. And belly crawling is kind of a must up there.

Wow those are great pics guys. Now Ghuilli suits are slick huh? I have known about them forever but just purchased a full set and love them.Yea never really thought about the rattlers but I guess we always need to be cautious.
I appreciate your welcome and sure look forward to being in here.Keep me in mind if you fellows get any shots on varmints in your guilli suits.I am suppose to go to New Mexico on Feburary 13 thru 16 for few days coyote calling. My best day is call in 5 and shoot five!! Wow what a day that wasmcalled in three to very first stand, just kept ca;lling after the shooting and two of the three died 10 ft apart witrh third about 25 yards from them,,Better get to bed fellows, see you guys later,my best to all,Larry

Lol, Cyclone... I like that pic.
![]() Guys, I've never had a problem with snakes, fire ants, scorpions or anything else while hunting, mainly because I don't bother unless the temps are near freezing. ![]() Oh and Cyclone.... Some of the biggest spiders I've ever seen in my life were over in New Mexico, my god man, those things were so big that they would leave squish marks on the highway when people ran over them. ![]() ![]() ![]() Crpdeth

Guns4life
i ran across some diabled vets in the US who are doing similar making good bases and kits and sell them i sell mine through kitbag.com.au but how's about i get the US vets details and send em to you keep your $$$ in your own country ( no offence, but looking after your own is a good idea) , help your own vets ( important ) and get good kit too win win besides they'd know your terrain better than me and you'd get a better suited suit for your area. we dont have pine forest here and you wanna match terrain eh besides it'll save you the $97 Oz ( $85 USD depending on the day) postage the woodland full suits sell here for $345 ($300 USD) inc postage in Oz takes 3 full days to make ( teasing out the fabric is hard work as its rip stop) and has a 2 year guarentee ( shameless plug ) for service and 3 for Civvy hunters Let me know what you think cheers jack Last edited by jack404; 01-28-2010 at 06:37 AM.. |
