Default Ammo prices dropping - finally!

Nice to see 308 (7.62x51 NATO) prices down to 16 cents per round again. Just got my new sportsman’s guide catalog and silver bear 308 is $159.99 for 1,000 rounds Yippee! And I hear Radway was churning out 5 million rounds per week. The US military also put thousands of M14's back into service from storage meaning Lake City is probably producing millions of 7.62x51 as we speak….I quite buying ammo at the crazy price of .50 per round and am waiting for more deliveries to bring other suppliers prices back to reality before making any more purchases….

Come on new catalog! All I have left is Indian .308s and they don't chamber reliably. It is not S. African ammo.

sweet!!! sounds like the market will again belong to the buyer in a year or two. Better start saving, this may very well be our last change to procure a good stock

$159.99 for 1000 rounds of .308??? That sounds too good to be true. If that is not a misprint, I am going to stock up!!!

Let's hope that the prices continue to drop and that they do not sky rocket once the 2012 hype starts to roll out. Know what I mean?

500 rounds of Silver Bear is currently $219.00, so that is $450.00 for 1000 rounds after shipping.
Either that was a mis-print in the catalog, or prices have increased again over the past few months.
Oh well, I got to feel the excitement for a few minutes anyway.

Better late than never! I believe that was a misprint in the catalog from what I found out. Oh well. Guess you can't always believe the advertisements. I hear Canada is getting some nice steel core Russian military 7.62X39 ammo imported in the sardine cans.... Seems silly that the U.S. can't because of dumb laws.
