A buddy from work emailed me this announcement from Taurus today. I had wanted a Judge but this is just so much nastier. It's essentially a 6-shot 3" .410 Judge that also shoots 2-1/2" .410 shotshells, along with .45 Colt and .454 Casull. I'm in love...

Incredible! I've been wanting a judge as well, but this is great! Could take it bunny hunting, use it for home defense, or load the 454s in there for a trek through grizzly country. It's been a while since a gun has made me this excited!

That looks very nice - too bad I will most likely not see it in MA.

I don't know about a release date.
![]() I found a 7-shot Judge in 3" .410 on the site as well. So many toys, so little funds... ![]() http://www.taurususa.com/2010newcata...atalog_page=13 I look for a .460 S&W version next year that will shoot .460 S&W, .454 Casull, .45 Colt, 2.5" and 3" .410 shells. I could be wrong but it would be the next logical evolution. Without a compensator however, the .460 S&W round could be nasty on recoil. I would bet a gun like that would have an 8" barrel. One can only wish it gets developed! ![]()

A .460 S&W version would be nothing short of awesome. I really hope they do introduce one and have it with the 10" barrel, akin to the Raging Bull 500 Magnum when it was first released.

does anybody have any idea of when these will come available to the public and how much they will run? im a huge judge fan and i see myself buying one or two of the new models. i love the 7 shooter and the 454 and the composite deal they have. i might sell my old judges to make room for these. composite or 7 shooter for CC and then the massive 454 6 incher to take into bear country. i might have pissed myself some
if they do the 460 ill eat a noogit of my own poop. that would just be outright insanity. Last edited by focusmaniaczx3; 02-13-2010 at 06:47 AM.. |

Well I have some info... its just not specific. A Taurus exec told me this will become avalible to the public "late this summer". Based on the numbers I am hearing, expect to see an MSRP around 950.00.

well the numbers I heard could be completely wrong, someone was tring to predict cost based on some info they have. I thought that number was a bit crazy too but I figure I will just wait till this summer and see... and remember most dealers sell below MSRP.

I wonder if they could proof it to hande the .460 S&W as well. then it would fire every cartridge within the camily its chambered for... That is one versatile piece of hardware

I have been using my Judge for home defense. Loaded with 3 45 colt and 2 410 OOO buck with 4 pellets each.
I might trade it for the new 7 shot model. Can't beat 4 .45 colts and 3 OOO buck.

ta heck with the .45 colts, just stoke it full of 'ooo' buck. round for round you would do at least 5 times more damage that way

it will put a hole through you, through your buddy, through the wall, through the door, through the car, through the tree, and then embed itself 6 feet into an embankment 2 miles away. does anyone have addition information?

Think about this for a moment. You shoulder this carbine, pull the trigger with your right trigger finger while you are holding the forend with your left hand. Ok?
What's going to happen to your left wrist when burning powder shoots out of the cylinder to barrel gap? A 410 burn will be bad enough, but if the carbine is chambered for .454 C. it's going to burn like a cutting torch. I have this feeling that unless this new revolving carbine is reworked with flash guards, etc., I don't think we will be seeing it anytime soon. Last edited by 45Auto; 05-03-2010 at 10:37 AM.. |
