Default DPMS, anyone?

What's the consensus on DPMS AR's? I'm thinking about getting one and would be interested in anyone's personal experiences with the brand. Thanks!

Cause I know where there is a DPMS for a good price. Bushmaster would be fine if I could pick it up for $800. This is an A2 framed DPMS, I think Panther Lite? I'm not sure, but it cycles smoothly just working the bolt.

An acquaintance of mine works for DPMS/Panther Arms, he does quality control inspection and test firing. They have decent products, from what I understand. If not, I can blame him! LOL! If I were in the market for one and found a good price, I wouldn't hesitate to try that brand.

I have one of their SS barrels and lower kits. The barrel is really nicely done and I've heard they have some of the tightest head spacing out there. It matched up great with my DSA Upper and CMT bolt.

Mine works good with any thing I've put through it.

Send a PM to Vladimir. I think I remember his AR being a DPMS. (I could, of course, be remembering that wrong).

I think JLA has one too. From what I know, its one of his best shooters.

I have owned a few M-4s and carry one at work and haven't had a problem with any of them including a DPMS that I owned.

I had no issues with my dpms until it was in a vehicle accident. It was in a soft case but there were other items with the rifle and I believe the barrel might have gotten bent. I can not get the sights right anymore including the iron sights. Adjust them at 100yds but at 150 they are way off. This was not the case prior to the accident. The rifle still cycles fine though.

I have the LR308-L and love it and have no complaints. It is light fast and extremely accurate. I also have Bushmasters and love them. The Colt that I had was not a bit better in my mind than either one of the other two, just more expensive. JMHO

I have a Panther Bull with JP trigger, very accurate for an AR. Never had any throuble with it but it is a little heavy.

I can't upload pics but here is a link to a pic I posted previously.

They are mid-range in the spectrum of AR manufacturers. It may not have all the top end bells and whistles but it will serve reliably for you and should run without malfunction

I have 2 DPMS rifles (sort of). The first is a Remington R-15 (the .223 caliber mode)l which is made by DPMS. My other is a hybrid. I bought a Stag lower and mated it up with A DPMS 16 inch Stainless barreled flat top .223 upper (the same upper used on the Panther Sweet 16). Both are excellent rifles and are accurate and reliable as you could hope for.

I had some jamming problems with my dpms lr308, and my Bushmaster Predator in .223 would only feed max loaded ammo. I have a S&W M&P15 that will feed anything I feed it without ever jamming, and it is the most accurate .223 I have ever fired. Price for the S&W is about what you are looking for.
