Hello thefirearmsforum,
I'm new to this forum trying to figure out some information on my grandfathers few guns that he has. I will post pictures as soon as I get back home. I know pictures will help more. I'm looking mainly for a parts but also the value. He has a 1934 Remington Model 34 .22 Long/Short Rifle Serial 733XX He has a Savage Arms .22 Long Rifle, that's all I know on this. I'm looking for the model because I need to find a clip for it. ![]() ![]() Lastly, he has a 1894 Winchester 25-35 W.C.F. -note: after I post the pics, my grandfather informed me that long ago his father had the barrel shortened so Im unsure of the exact model. Any information you guys have on these rifles will be a tremendous help because I'm very interested in my grandfathers guns and don't know too much on guns in general. We are looking for a couple parts on these guns. Again, pictures will be posted in about an hour.

StuddR you're going to several need pictures of each gun to get anything close to a reasonable guesstimate. Originality and Condition drives dollars. Unless you have a very special gun, once you get below 90%, its pretty much a shooter. Some would say 95% and I couldn't disagree.

Thanks for your reply Steve99f. I have taken some pictures and will upload them when I get home from work. I don't see myself getting a solid guesstimate, but anything would be nice. Also, looking for someone who could direct to in finding parts as I've gone to a few gun shops and no luck with parts.

I just purchased a model 34 a couple of months back. Both the wood and bluing are in very good condition and although it was made in 1934, it has the factory peep sight instead of open sights. In 1935 they called it the model 34P if it had peep sights. The guns were only produced in 1934 and 35. I paid $225.00 which is probably top dollar for one of these but I wanted it as it was the first year model and it had the peep sights.

Ya, I'm looking for a trigger guard for the model 34 Remington as we speak. Any advice?

If I read their parts list correctly, Numrich gun parts has the trigger guard (2 screws) for $14.05 and the number is 82740T. Maybe check them out.

They must be short screws because I'm missing the guard off mine also. Last I checked Numrich was out of stock.
