If there's one thing that irritates me it's how this (a)dministration keeps falling back on Bush for everything. For one, the policies that caused the housing crisis were not created by the Bush Administration. Those who believe so are totally economically inept and have no aptitude for history.
![]() So anyway, my 2 year old son sparked an idea the other day. He came home with a picture of a Jaguar hiding behind a bush. That got me thinking and then Gimp photo editor got opened, and the rest... Well.... Haha!

Great photo and your right the housing crisis goes all the way back to Clinton when he made the speech that every American has the right to own a house. He then called the mortgage racist because he believed that minorities were not equally represented as home owners. he then put legislation through that allowed the mortgage companies to make risky investments.

I'm not saying it's right, but isn't this what every administration does? It's all one blame game.
Funny picture by the way. |

Not every president and not every administration. Bush didn't dump on Clinton much and he sure could have after 911 but didn't. A lot of us did but he didn't.

Blaming the previous administration, for Obamalamadingdong, has become almost an art form. He's been saying 8 years so much, he doesn't remember, he's been in office more than a year.

You know, when they forced Khruschev out, he sat down and wrote two letters to his successor. He said - "When you get yourself into a situation you can't get out of, open the first letter, and you'll be safe. When you get yourself into another situation you can't get out of, open the second letter". Well, soon enough, this guy found himself into a tight place, so he opened the first letter. Which said - "Blame everything on me". So he blames the old man, it worked like a charm. He got himself into a second situation he couldn't get out of, he opened the second letter. It said - "Sit down, and write two letters."
This was a quote from the movie Traffic. It's kind of the truth though. Of how politics work. They blame it all on the last guy. |

This is also a reason I am a supporter of the libertarians. Alot of their economic views support the lowering of spending. If you cut spending, that allows tax cuts and encourages business. I mean California, for example, doesn't seem to get that. They wouldn't know how to cut spending if their lives depended on it. The problem with government is out of control spending. Out of control spending is why we're in the crapper so bad, why we are knee-deep in deficit and why we have such high taxes and why we need high taxes in the first place. If you cut spending, you can get rid of high taxes and the whole lot of it. I don't get how these idiots running the country have college educations and stuff yet can't understand anything as simple as cutting spending. I mean Bush and Obama both increased spending. Bush didn't have a choice though. He had to increase military spending to fight the wars that the terrorists started. Liberals love to complain how conservatives point out high spending, and say Bush raised spending, but can't see that he had to in order to pay for the war we were invited into. I mean maybe they didn't have to go into Iraq, but whatever that's another story. They just don't get it that he had no choice. |

Bush tried to clean up the mortgage mess in 2003 before it became the current crisis.

Please...won't one of his genius advisors tell him how inept, incompetent, etc. he projects by continually blaming Bush.
It's way past the point for me that when he gets on the media ('bout hourly it seems), I just say...Oh, yada, yada, yada...then tune him out.

Well bcj, I think that gun owners are often more aware of what's going on with our government because our rights have been directly attacked in the past. Many people have not seen their rights directly impacted to a point where it matters in their day to day lives. As a consequence of that, those people haven't wised up to the fact that their Constitution is stuck half way in the shredder while billionaire thieves are slowly raping them. It's sad...

You guys have nailed it for sure.
Most people don't really know what is happening, but that is slowly changing or at least I feel that way. Look at the turncoat from MA. Sure people didn't vote for him because he was a turn coat, but because they thought that he was a conservative. All of these little elections that are happening are really showing that The People are educating themselves, and are not supporting the Big O.
