Default Help ID a AR15-type(?) rifle

Hi!
i came accross the attached photo of what i assume to be an AR15-type rifle and am trying to find out the exact model. Given the site i got the photograph from, i suspect it is a replica and not the real deal, however any help on the type of the gun would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings from Germany,
skygirl.

Hi Skygirl. AR15's are fully customizable so a specific manufacturer can't be specified. From the picture its a typical AR lower and a flat top upper with a 10.5in barrel with a free float hand guard and A2 flash hider. The stock is the typical CAR/M4 collapsable stock. Scope could be a number of manufactures.

helix is dead on, judging by the 'fatness' of the barrel id suspect its probably one of the new 6.8spc chambered carbines. They are identical to a standard AR .223 but the barrels are a tad fatter and they shoot a much more powerful cartridge...
