Im thinking about tradeing or selling my Savage 99. Problem is I dont know what its worth. On the barrel I see Savage model 99E series A Westfield Mass Ser #C356246. It loads throught the top no removable magazine. The wood is in real good shape 2-3 minor dings. The blueing is in good shape as well the lever action and rest of the mechanical parts are fit and sound. Were having a real problem with the pictures. I almost forgot it is a 243. Im looking for a ball park figure or some one who might know what its worth. Thanx for your time !!

The Blue Book shows a top of around $600, but in the shape described, I would say a ballpark of $400, retail. (In other words that is what a dealer would put on it for sale, not what he would pay for it. In a private sale, I would ask that, but might have to take less.)
