I wish someone would do something about these nuts. If it were my child's funeral I just don't know how I would react. Such a shamefull bunch of Christians. I am Baptist and I would NEVER behave like this. Our Justice system is a joke......this is not free speech, it is clearly harassment. Why can't these nuts wait to protest at a gay pride parade if they feel so strong about homosexuality.

It is obvious by their actions that they are not christians. There are many who do things in the name of christianity. They are decieved to think that Jesus would condone such cowardly acts. If they had the spirit of God living on the inside of them, they couldnt do what they do. They will face a horible judgement for their actions. I could not maintain myself around that bunch and would probably be in jail. That is a pure and simple display of hate, driven by the devil himself. Straight out of the pits of hell.

I can't even begin to imagine the grief they cause when doing this at a funeral. I am a very peacefull person, but if it were my daughter laying there I would not be in a mindframe to control myself. I won't say that what they do is illegal, but it is certainly immoral. I wish the 2nd Ammendment was as closely adhered to as the 1st. Might just be a better place for all of us to live.

Ironic isn't it that they claim a soldier's death is punishment from God. I wonder if they feel when soldiers in past wars that have died for their right to spout BS, that it was also the wrath of God.

If I was present at one of these funerals and that group was around I know I couldn't restrain myself. I believe in free speech but I'll let the supreme court, constitution, and law enforcement protect that for them. Myself I'd gladly go to jail for the pleasure of slapping the snot out of that bitch, and I've never struck a woman in my life. I'd make an exception for her.

I'll pull an Obozo here! I don't agree with this law, so I won't recognize it! Your rights end, when they step on mine! They have the right to protest, but not at the funeral of a Hero! They were suposed to show up for a funeral here last fall. A locol motorcycle club decided that this was a funeral for a Hero that they needed to attend, and made that decision public. Guess who didn't show up!

We had a young hero in the town next to me get killed last year.......they didn't show up here either. Some of our good ol boys would have taken care of this problem for sure. This fella was very young and the community is to tight where he lived. This church is playing with fire.

As much as I deplore the tactics of the WBC, it is a free speech issue. The real unspoken/not so obvious anymore tragedy is that a few generations ago, some of the men from the dead soldiers families would have gone over and had a "talk" with the protesters, and the problem would have been resolved after a funeral protest or two. However, the government has more or less made it illegal for us to handle our own minor affairs such as this anymore, lest WE go to jail for standing up to what is obviously an unacceptable situation. I thought about joining the Patriot Riders when this crap first started 6 or 7 years ago, but their mission statement was to use non-interference/non confrontational methods in regard to WBC protests. I felt like I couldn't have honered that code reliably, so I didn't join. I'm not a bad ass, or an ass kicker, but this S#!t is/should be unacceptable in the U.S.A. I grew up in.

I think it's come time to kick a little ass in this and other "unacceptable" situations. Your mileage may vary.

I've attended four funerals in Illinois in recent years, for fallen heroes, and this trash wasn't at any of them. From what I've seen, they're big on using women, children, and young people on the "front lines". It's a transparent tactic, relying on the civility of the funeral-goers.
