Default Volkmann Custom 1911

For a customer:
The lettering is platinum inlay...and a real "son-of-a-gun" to complete, too!
The scroll work took an enormous amount of time to get it to look really cool.
The finish will be Brownell's Oxynate #7.

Hey Brian,

It was a shock seeing you on the firearms forum, I know you from the engraving forums.

Again, Very beautiful work and someday maybe I can be half as good. I love the design as well as the execution.

I've said it before, You do beautiful work!!! Even after years of practice on raw metal I don't think I would have the toodles to try that on my own gun let alone someone elses. You are one of the best I have seen. Great work!!!

Thanks everyone for the Kudos.
JLA,I suppose the definition of patience is relative. For example: I wouldn't have the patience to do everything necessary to properly prepare an automobile for an excellent paint job.

Woodnut----not sure who you are on iGraver or Lindsay's but hello again!
Shouldn't be a shock to see me here considering how we all love our guns.
I've been trying to get other gun engravers to check out this site and post some pictures.

Another true work of art.

If I could just afford it, I would love to have a firearm with your masterful touch.

Thanks everyone for the kudos! Luke makes a pretty good gun.
This was the first one I engraved and I have another one here I'll be working on soon.
