Found a box of old magnesium boat flair ammo (box says 197 but doesn't say how long it is good for. If it is bad, how do I dispose of it? Would the local police do that? Dont want to throw it away and wreck the paint job on a trash truck

Do you mean flares for a flare gun? I would think that would definately come under the "Hazardous Materials" category......or even "Explosive Ordinance Disposal".

I can think of two possible places for disposal.....but I don't think Rosie O. or Jane F. would hold still long enough.

The local PD or your state National Guard may have some suggestions.

Sure they would. I hear Rosie is so inclined...
