Default magazine help

I need help in ordering magazines. My new gun is a 1964 National Match Colt 1911.It only came with one magazine-no markings.I'm confused as what magazines to order.Need help. Please recommend a manufacturer with a model or order number.I'm guessing a 7 shot magazine that is flush with the frame.
Thanks

If you are using semi wadcutter ammo in your NM 1911,
Metalform makes an excellent mag and it's available from www.brownells.com

Brownells also has a very good selection of 1911 magazines. Any 1911 magazine will fit your gun, Wilsons are the most expensive, I use Shooting Star with very good results.

all good advice , metalform, wilson 47D ( my personal choice ) and mccormick shooting stars i think metal form and shooting star can be had in 7 or 8 round versions but the wilson in only 8 ??? all the choices are good ones. novak is another well thought of brand. stay away from gun show specials good price but yuo get what you pay for.

I found some Check-mate brand magazines in this month's edition of The Blue Press. Does anyone know anything about this brand?

I ordered a RIA 1911 in 9mm earlier this week and it only comes with 1 magazine. I have not been able to find any 9mm 1911 mags until I was looking at this catalog earlier this evening.

not 100% sure this is true but i am 95% sure. check -mate is the job lot contractor that makes the chip mccormick shooting star. the "experts" at www.m1911.org rate the check-mate magazine very highly

Thanks oscar, I read the article about their visit to the Checkmate "factory". A quite impressive operation from the sounds of it. I would not hesitate to buy Checkmate mags.

Bought some no name magazines at a gun show cheap.
That was years ago. they work good as my Wilson mag's.
Use them for range shooting.
