Ive never heard of a season on them in June?
And looks like to me you'd want to wait til at least after the first frost, due to the flys laying their eggs....even when the season comes in here, I always wait til after the first frost and even then you'll get some with worrbles on them still. Ive never heard of that pops42?

Could be a bonus season if they are abundant.

They breed twice a year, population booms after a year with high mast production. Squirrel hunting sort of fell by the wayside with most people getting their hunting fix for the year with deer and turkey hunting. Lack of predators and more people living where squirrels live make more situations where squirrels chewing on things makes for unhappy home owners. Shoot, cook and eat them. Bugs aren't a problem unless you eat them undercooked.

Need fewer video games and more kids with guns in the woods with mom and dad. Worst thing to happen to us was remote control, cable TV and games that hooked up to the TV set.
