Default XM25 to Afghanistan

Just heard that the XM25 grenade launcher will be fielded in Afghanistan this year -

This thing sounds amazing.... I just hope we're not placing too much faith in electronics & technology....

I read on a different site that the launcher will still function in "dumb" mode if the top-mounted electronics package dies.... the grenades will default to PD fusing.

Yep, it's the 21st Century, all right. Today's troops are using a wide variety of high-tech gizmos, and I'm sure they will make the best of this one as well.
