Grandpa's old 32 h&r hammerless

i am trying to find out as much as I can about a revolver I recieved when my grandfather passed away. its has "Harrington & Richardson Arms Co Worchester Mass U.S.A." stamped on the top of the round barrel, is a hammerless 6 shot top break revolver, has "32 S&W ctge" on the side of barrel, target grips, and a serial number 1402xx on the butt of the grip. I have read some of the other topics and seem to believe that this is the place to find out info on it! Any help would be greatly appreciated. there is a little rust in the barrel, and its deffinately not in the greatest condition, but I am hoping to clean it up and make it usable. thank you very much!

this is a second model large frame H&R Hammerless. if you were to call any H&R's rare this would be one. the six shot 32 S&W Long caliber was only offered in the second model. there are no know records to tell how many were made they do not show up very often. the serial nummber of this one puts in in the 4th variation 1913-1915

Large Frame Double Action Hammerless Top Break revolver with double top post barrel latch; caliber and cylinder capacity, 38 S&W (5 rounds); finish is nickel or blue (optional); grips are hard rubber with a target logo at the top; standard barrel length is 3 ¼ inch, with 4, 5 and 6 inch optional;
rebounding hammer; automatic cylinder stop. The cylinder was lengthen to take the 32 S&W long cartridge and the catalogs now listed the calibers as; 6 shot 32 S&W, 32 S&W Long, 32 Colt New Police cartridges. Also offered in 5 shot 38 S&W and 38 Colt New Police.

There is some indication production of the hammerless model stopped somewhere in the early 1920’s but it was carried in catalogs until 1941 Estimate*
After 1930 listed in Catalogs as: H&R HAMMERLESS No. 50 TOP BREAK .32 S&W LONG 6 shot and H&R HAMMERLESS No. 55 TOP BREAK .38 S&W 5 shot
