Were does it hang up? During feed on the carrier? During feed into the breech? Model 60 is a good one, defiantly worth fixing. My guess w/o seeing or knowing since its consistent 3rd or 4th round, look for a dent or a blockage in the mag tube. Check the follower for binding in the tube.

What Helix said. Sounds like a dent in mag tube hanging the follower.

could it possibly be the spring tension on the tube? because when it hanfgs up it is feeding the round into the breech......and there is no dent in the tube.....ive had this rifle for approx 20 years and shot like 25000 rounds from it...love my rifle upset rounds are sticking.....thanks everyone for giving me your opinions I really really appreciate any input.....

It is pretty hard to wear that rifle out, but 25 thousand rounds just might do it. I am surprised it has only the one problem.

i will suggest two different things, first, change types of ammo.i have found that even ammo that has been used for years can change.the other thing would be to find someone who would loan you a mag tube, perhaps the spring in yours is worn out. old semperfi

The 2pc feed ramp may have seperated, the lifter could have worn a groove in the bottom of the ramp where it comes to a halt on the up swing causing it to stop in a higher position, the lifter itself may be worn on the top.

Start with AMMO...if you are using Remington Golden Bullets or Thunderbolts, there is your problem.
Next, the Ejector wire should be in this position... ![]() ![]() Finally, check the feed throat and chamber entrance...they should be smooth, if not, polish until smooth.
