oh so you're the guy responsible for them drying up in the local IL gun shops. I've been on the look out for a m38 or m44 shooter grade for a few months, had one and loved it until it was stolen
want to sell or trade on of yours? |

Umm, I think I've only got one of them in Illinois, and that one was the first one when I did not yet have a C&R.

You don't help yet, I only count 8.......I've given away or sold that many, just so the rest would fit in the safe. It's a sickness!

You have many sturdy, quality, functional relics. What's the problem?
![]() ![]() I have two currently, a hex Tula 91/30 with matching numbers, and a well used M 44 with lots of "charcter". Last edited by Floyd D. Barber; 05-26-2010 at 08:15 PM.. |

I'd quite gladly buy one of each model if I had the money and could find them all. Good luck getting a m91 Dragoon which hasn't been import marked, or captured and re-marked. That should be a couple thousand dollars.
I remember getting my M91/30, from a Russian veteran of WWII. I wonder, however, if it isn't a rearsenaled rifle rather than his original, as the finish comes off when you tough it. This is most common with rearsenaled WWII Mosin 91/30s, as the Soviets used a cheap yellow-brown shellac. Either way, it only cost about a hundred dollars. (He also sold me a wool trenchcoat, best thing I ever bought as far as cold weather clothing, you just CAN'T get cold no matter how hard you try. It also doesn't get too hot, as it is a little loose. That thing weighs about 20lbs.) Last edited by Austing; 07-07-2010 at 12:35 AM.. |
