If the stock is really grubby with surface scratches, etc, I polish it with Brownells Stock Rubbing Compound in progressively finer grades. Then a good cleaning with Murphy's Oil Soap, using a toothbrush for the checkering. Finish with any GOOD furniture grade wax. We Buy Guns! 1 - 100, Antique or Modern! www.apaxenterprises.com
