In Indiana, it's $30 for 4 years or $75 lifetime. Indiana also accepts any license or permit from any other state.

In Ohio it's good for 5 years. Can be renewed twice for five years each. Upon the third renewal (15 yrs) you have to be recertified and take the CCW class again.

Here in Minnesota there is no lifetime. The permit is $85.00 first time, $75.00 renewal and the class must be taken every time and it is good for only 5 years. These are the prices for my county they are different in each county.

Every five years here in Washington. No class, even with the first time permit. I can't remember exactly how much my renewal was, but I am guessing in the neighborhood of $50. to $60.

the class i went through in kentucky taught the legalities of shooting someone in my state... and also it touched on safety a tad. then we had to fire 20 shots at a silhouette target from 21 feet away. as long as 11 shots it the man in the target you passed..... so after i hit enough i started shooting at the little marks instead of trying to hit center mass. also there is no restriction on the gun you have to use verses what you can carry. i took the class with a ruger blackhawk 357 mag and can carry anything i can get under my coat. but i can open carry without the license so prefer to do so. the license is mainly for when i go visit the wife's family in northcrackheadalina

Tenn made me jump through all kinds of hoops, at 3 places. Once at dmv, once for prints, and a class, even though I've been shooting since I was 9.

In GA we just apply and pay $76 (up from $35), then off to the Sheriff's dept. to get fingerprinted. Pass the background check and it arrives in the mail in less than 2 weeks.
Renew every 5 years, not sure if that's at full price or not.

Yup. 5 years in Ga. Good thing about GA is it is a will issue state! When I was in VA, from what I gather, they don't have to issue if they don't want too.

By the way, CONGRATS!!!!!!

In Alaska it's for five years then renew. They aren't required
for concealed carry but the permit is very useful for travel to
the smaller states.

New York:

Got mine in '93. It cost $95 and took 6 months to get it. It now takes a year or more to be processed (just in my county). They drag their feet because they can.

No expiration, but can be revoked by our government at any time.

Civilians can't even get a permit in my state. I have a friend who is a retired detective here and he says off-duty cops can get them. And a civilian can get them if they are retired LEO in good standing with the department.

That may change in the next year or so if the Republicans get a majority here.

He asks my constantly why I own a firearm and why I feel the need I have to carry one. I find it silly, too, because as a former police officer he should know why. He doesn't think ordinary law-abiding people should be able to carry. I find this silly because he's black too. And I sort of contrast it to civil rights. How whites got special treatment that he didn't. Yet he thinks he deserves special treatment that law-abiding people shouldn't get.

Couldn't you sue the state after so long? Aren't they sort of denying your right to Due Process?

I don't think you can legally sue the government in this country.

The best hope is to have the Supreme court (federal) continue to underscore the strength of the 2nd Amendment, and then take on the laws on the books through the courts because they're not constitutional.

Tx good for 4 years, then renew with abbreviated class. We shot 125 rounds. Qualify with a semi auto you can carry both. Qualify with a revolver and thats all you can carry.
