I have a WWII - Korea era footlocker that has little doors on it's bottom side. does anyone know what these were for? Do they make it more valuable? Anyone interested in buying/ Thanks much.

New one on me. When I entered the service everything was either WWII or Korean war era ( including brown boots which we had to dye black ). The only foot locker I was aware of from that era is the old wood flat top with an insert. I have seen other, very nice secure metal framed ones since then but none with little doors on them and most were used to secure high cost items.

I was in during the Korean era. We just had regular footlockers.
One door on top like a trunk and when you opened it it had an insert where we were supposed to keep our shaving gear etc. Zeke |
