Default to Beard or not to Beard?

ok winters back ( i hope) is broken and looking forward to warm weather here soon ( winter here in the southern hemisphere )

so what you think suits better ? beard ( like i am sporting today)

or clean shaven ??

i like the beard actually , but everyone says clean shaved is better , maybe cause they know me clean shaved all my life

pic taken last week at my shack and a insert from ANZAC Day last year ( and yes i've put on about 30 lbs but needed too eh)

The beard makes you look more like Sean O'Connery,
and just the mustache makes you look more like Sir
Alec Guiness. So it's your choice

But I'd ask your lady friend if I was you.

The beard looks really good.

I quit shaving on July 4 so I have about two months worth of growth on my face. I have more hair on my face than I do on my head!!

get rid of the pink coat ? never seen a real oil skin huh ?? thats ok .. not many folks have.. its all colours and dyes now , no protection

this is the fore runner of a "dry as a bone" coat without the tobacco staining to the colour to make em dark ( just the whale oil no tobacco in this one , real sperm whale oil too)

water proof , warm and soft , i'll keep the coat...

cheers

Personally, I think you look 10 years younger with the beard. Take off another 10 years with a little "Just for Men". I have worn a beard most of my adult life. At one time I was asked if I was going to audition for ZZ Top, I had grown it that long. Now days I'm a little more moderate! That's me on the right! Yeah! That's my oldest son.

I do have a little problem with distance, but not enough to make shooting a problem. I need the glasses to read though! I take them off when shooting, the bi-focals get in the way.

Alright, I'll tell you what to do,

Keep a Fu Manchu, but keep it long and wide.
Every three days or so, trim it, a little bit.

After the fourth or fifth time, you'll see it
shape up.

I, personally, love the look of that coat.

It makes me think of what people wore 150 years ago to stay warm.

Yeah, I like the coat. He looks like a trapper
on the Ohio river 1700-1800.

If you like the beard then go with the beard. Why worry about other peoples opinion?

The way Moslems are taking over the world, beards might be mandatory pretty soon...

Beard for sure. I recently grew a goatee and was subjected to ribbing from my friends. They would say stuff like "Looks like you're trying to cultivate on your face what I grow wild on my ***". I think you get the picture. Had a stache since I was 16.
