i just tried to upload photos, in two new threads i was going post, and in another thread. and each time it said it failed.
2 of the photos were jpeg, under the size limit. dunno why it's not working for me. another member was having problems and i remember him asking questions, wonder if it's related.

Did you post to some place like Photobucket and insert the URL here using the little mountain and sun icon button?

seems to work for me... Is there a limit to how many you can upload like this?

You are not barred from uploading.
When you say the size is below the limit, are you referring to the size in KB or MB, or are you referring to the size in pixels?

i was referring to the size in MB. the size limit was 3 MB and the pic was like, 2.60 or so
i checked the size by scrollin my mouse over the pic and it says 4000x3000 both for the pic i want to upload and to a pic i have previously uploaded. the previously uploaded pic is slightly larger MBs then the one i want to upload, both were taken on the same camera. same settings, same computer, some software i just tried to upload the picture that i have uploaded before... and it wouldnt upload either. the message just says upload failed. |

I'm going to have to dig into this a little more, but I think the problem occurred after we moved to our new web host. Some of the settings here are probably different than at the old host, and I will have to track down the specific settings.
Even though your file size is under the 3MB limit, it is over the pixel size limit. I think you are running into a limit of some kind when the forum software tries to resize the file. I have the same problem when trying to upload a 2.6MB file, but not with smaller files. Until we figure out the problem, try manually resizing your images to a smaller size.

You should have received image editing software with your camera. And there are several that can be downloaded that are free or nearly so.
You can also change the settings on your camera so that the pictures you take result in smaller image files.

choose your size
then hit ok ( dont for get to save , or save as , otherwise your chances wont be saved) if you save as and use a different name the original pic wont be cahnged at all as your only saving the new file name ( or creating it in that name wityh your changes ) cheers |

ok gadwin print screen is how i got those pic's showing irfanveiw, its a great tool and will capture anything you see on your screen and saves it to what you want
some info on web sites can dissppear, espeacially some of the older forums where space is premium so threads are kulled after 30-60 days .. sad but true , also the MSM often publishes stuff that often dissappears in days or hours now , its handy to get these too youtube downloader , same deal , i saw a power point demonstration on youtube of your medical laws page by page a few years ago i wish i had it then so i could have grabbed a copy, then we can compare what was written before oboxo became prez to what you now got , but i cant , youtubedownloader allows this so nearly everything i wish to do with graphics or news or pictures i can do with these three tools |

If you want to try out Photobucket, I made a little guide to use and upload pictures. It also resizes large pictures down to or under 1mb.
To upload pictures ![]() ![]() To generate [img] codes. Hover over the image you want to link. ![]() Click the checkbox, as illustrated. ![]() Click the "Generate HTML and IMG Code. ![]() Single Click the box for the clickable thumnail and right-click and copy the code and put it in the body of you post by right-clicking the text field and paste. ![]() Only complicated the first time. |
