If they shoot as good as they look, they have a decent price tag on them, for sure.

Just picked up the Mossberg at the FFL dealers house. Looks pretty cool! It's a 702 Plinster wrapped in a plastic shell. Adjustable stock, fully adj. rear sights, handle rail, quad rail. Comes with a 10 round mag but should be a thirty rounder. Next Friday I go to the range to try it out and will let you all know how she goes. Came to $238.00 including shipping.

The article I read said this was built around their plinkster model, so what you have is a plinkster that looks like an AR style gun. Me and one of my buddies both had the plinkster and trust me, you get what you pay for which isn't much. Buy a ruger 10-22 and change the stocks. You won't regret that.

I figured that it wouldnt amount to much of anything except that it is kind of cool and the price was ok. I like cool stuff. I already have good stuff to shoot.

Well let me elaborate on this, there is an orange plastic recoil buffer that broke the first time I shot the rifle. And then went through 2 more in the next 500 rounds. Called Mossberg and they sent me new ones for free which was nice but what a hassle on a brand new gun. I see the price at the top is 233.00? You could buy a 10-22 for that or less and spend another 100 on an after market stock and then have a gun that looks cool and actually works. And thats all I have to say about that.

Hey, nothing wrong with that and it may turn out to be a great shooter as well. Just like the S&W mp22's///seems all Ive heard from "about" everyone is that they have problems with them if not when new, after a few hundred/thousand rounds? I went and bought the Ruger SR22 just because I wanted one and I'll tell you this, it may have been a bit pricey for what it is, but it has had thousands of round thru it and not ONE problem with it. Ive ran it through the test...I mean "thousands" of rounds...not one problem yet.
Some say, get a 10/22 and trick it out for far less. And true to an extent, but if I had of wanted a 10/22 I would have bought one...JMO

Tomorrow AM I will go and try it out. Might be a hoot, might not. I'll get to try out the Henry AR-7 as well.

Went to the range with my daughter and a friend and shot the Mossberg. I didnt get to shoot many rounds through as I couldnt get them to let loose of it. We were at the pistol range at 25 yards. Once we got it sighted in it was shooting a inch or so groups. By the time they called a cold range there wasnt much left of the bullseye. It's a fun little gun which is what I wanted. No complaints except that next time I will go by myself! The AR-7 shot pretty good as well except it doesnt like hollow points. I think for the money you cant beat it for the fun factor.

I did take it to the 100 yd rifle range and was able to hit pretty good at 50 yds but the peep sight made it too hard for my old eyes.

Good to hear that you had a good day at the range GunClinger! Sounds like the AR-7 is doing a job well done, even though it was "held hostage" by your daughter and friend....fun shooting rifle's.
