on the back of the square it reads
Tip Tapper Pat. pend. it is 2 3/4 long and 1 1/4 wide with what looks like checkering on one side the other reads willard's made in usa its 1 3/4 across and has some grit embedded in the indented part, like sandpaper i found these things in a box of keys that belonged to a gent that went up the creek for making meth. each of them were on a key ring with regular house/car keys. so im assuming that the guy stole these keys or something and these items were along for the ride any ideas to what they are

My money is on pool cue tip tools. The tapper would be used to roughen up the cork, and the other thing to form the curve. Just a guess ---

Pool cue tip tools. The tips are leather---available in different hardnesses.
I was always partial to hard elkhide. Roughing up the tip allows it to take chalk better, and affects it's "traction" on the cueball. Tip Tapper link: http://www.ozonebilliards.com/actiptap.html Willards link: http://www.ozonebilliards.com/wicuetipshdi.html |
