I'm more than half tempted to sell a gun to buy a Walther P-1 (I'm starting to get the urge to do some wheelin' and dealin')

Now-I don't want to put you over the edge and make you sell anything to get a P38....
But I have a P38 and it is one of the most acurate pistols I have. I am sure you will like it

I had one of those French-made P-38s. It was stolen in 1986 and I bought another just like it. Sold it along the way for some reason. Got to thinking a few months ago that I sure couldn't figure out why I sold it. One of those pistols that feels good in my hand and makes a great plinker. Anyway, checked out the auction sites and saw a 1962 marked Walther at $199. Mine was the only bid. Seems to work just fine. My wife can sell this one after I am dead.

I've noticed the P38/P1 go up in price over the last year. I bought mine about this time last year, and it was about $200. I see them going now for almost $300 now.
They are great, though. Classic German quality. |
