Copey is right.
I think you will understand this better - 12 ftlb limit on UK air rifles. Air pistols have a limit of half that - 6ftlb. A rabbit needs 6ftlb at the skull to penetrate whereas a rat needs 4ftlb. Although 12ftlb isn't massively powerful, it is enough to kill most small quarry humanely if you place shot on head. ![]() Personally I'd like to see the limit changed in the UK to 18ftlb which is more like it. This is the best power for a spring airgun. You could also stop kids getting access to them by making it unlawful to use or possess an airgun if you are under 18 years of age without supervision of adult over 21 years. Airguns should be locked up not stored insecure like most are now. PCP's can shoot accurately upto 60ftlb. ![]() We are ruled here by anti-British, Anti White, Anti Middle Class self serving liberal and socialist idiots. Tony Blair was responsible for 80% of our problem. God knows why you guys still love him, WE all hate him! Half of Europe has daft airgun laws - Spain has no limit on power, UK 12ftlb and lots of others even less. Greece only has 8ftlb limit on air rifles!!! Apply sensible and proportional laws to stop the wrong people from owning, possessing or using an airgun and limits can be done away with completely. Anyone without a criminal conviction over 18 years of age should be able to own and use an unlimited power airgun.
