Default new deer rifle

I have hunted with my trusty .308 and then got a 45-70 for a little more knock down power. i took the 45-70 to the range and didnt care for it all that much it was a marlin 1895g. it fuctioned fine but the frame seemed to small for me. I was never comfy shooting it therefore my groups suffered. since now i am a reloader i saw a caliber that i liked and just bought it. i am excited to go scope shopping and turn this into my new deer rifle.

rem 700 in .35 whelen.
