The Savage Edge is now called the Axis and doesn't come with an adjustable trigger.
Yes Savage still makes the Stevens 200 but it doesn't come with an adjustable trigger either. It's basically the old savage 110 bolt action rifle. Click here' http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/models/ then on "centerfire" and then on "Stevens" |

Thats a problem with the, 25-06. Not found everywhere. I was going to get a 7mm-08 before I got my, .243. But I found out how much the ammo was and that changed my mind.

That why I didn't get one the 25-06 is high when I found it I have only found it at bass pro and once a my wal mart. I have looked at a 30-30 to and a 308 I know I couldn't get the range with 30-30 like the 308 but that not important because I shot under 150

Try Thompson center in 30tc 150 grain round at 100 yds V/S 308 at 100 yds with 150 gr. round. The 30 tc is 171 fps. faster and has 306 flbs. more than the .308 why fire the cannons when you can launch missles:
compared to the 30-06 the 30 tc is 86fps. faster and 155 flbs. more, " LONG LIVE THE 30-06'' !!! cant hardley say any thing bad about that ole girl . 270 is also a great cal. Hell, theyre all good just some a little better than others!!!!!!! I don't have a 30tc but i have shot one several times and it has to be the smoothest shootin rifle i have ever fired. It will be my next rifle! P.S the 30 tc has very low recoil, about like a 243 |

Talked to the guy yesterday that wants to build a 6x284 on perhaps a Rem action. What do you all know about this caliber? Good for long range coyote hunting or maybe not? I'm quite happy with my .257 Roberts and if this isn't a real winner rifle, I won't take the plunge. I would rather look at a 20 ga. for trap shooting.. Really I'd like both but can't. Any words of wisdom will be appreciated. And recommendations. Like any of you builders want to educate a buyer and turn him into a builder?
