CMMG .22WMR M-4 lookalike

I hear rumours that the first few testers are out there...
It's an M-4 platform, 16" barrel, all the usual stuff...
10-rd mag and a 35-round mag as well.

Anyone shot one yet??

I LOVE .22 WMR

What chamber design did they use to make sure the .22Magnums eject properly??

Inquiring minds wanna know !!!

In the December 2010 issue of The American Rifleman, they did a review of these "Tatical" .22's (No mention of the AK27; which I saw in Dunhams).

Included are the Ruger SR22; Remington 597VTR; SIG Sauer522 Classic; ATI GSG-522 (HK MP5); Colt Tatical Rimfire (AR 15); HK 416 D145RS; Smith & Wesson M&P15-22; and the Mossberg 702 Tatical Plinkster.

The cost of these black plastic wanna bees ranges from $276-$675; and the acurracy is average.

They are fun litte guns; but it will wear off.
That's my impression after reading the article (no .22WMR).

Same here as 22shot was aying, havent heard anything about them nor was they mentioned in Dec. issue of AR. A bunch on the A-R style .22lr, which in my opinion are a "fun" rife to shoot and the SR-22 that I "did" own right before I did some "letting go" of some guns, I was taking head shots on chipmunks up to 35-40yds with mine with the P4 sniper scope on it.
Anxious to see how the .22 WMR transpires!

Big Shrek i too love the .22 maggy and interested to see how they deal with ejection ,,
WMR are a bordeline case for expansion damage, i looked one day about reloading .22's and when i lookd at the WMR cases i shuddered , not good and yeah can be a bugger to extract on a bolt action , i'd hate to see what the cases are like with this after rapid rife

I personally dont see any reason to own a 22 WMR, A person can reload a 223 for less money than you can buy 22 mag ammo for. A 223 will outshoot and out perform the 22 mag in every aspect, there really is no comparison. As far as these wanna-be AR styled weapons, for the price of some them you can buy a good entry level AR, a real one at that. Just my two cents worth, not that it really matters.

In some states/Countries you can only hunt certain animals using Rimfire rifles or pistols...

Because if you get caught using Centerfire...it'sa helluva fine.

Consequently, there's a market for good .22WMR's, as .22lr often ain't quite enough for larger varmints.

A .22 magnum will probably carry the .22 magnum $$$ tag too which is too bad. I loved my AMT .22 Automag and I never had any type of ejection problems. People didnt believe all that noise was a .22.
