Default Recommended books?

Hi, I'm a new firearms collector and I'm looking for some books regarding the history of the different actions and designs of pistols. Can anyone recommend any good pistol books that arent just pictures with very basic info?

Any help would be appreciated...

Welcome sebii...!...For Military Guns from around the world. I use "The Standard Catalog of Military Firearms", by Ned Schwing.

Check: www.krausebooks.com

sebii, Another one that would be informative is "The World's Great Handguns" by Roger Ford. Barnes and Noble are the publishers.
