when did Savage stop using the oval "indian chief logo" on their butt plates???

What years were the Savage Stevens 258B shotguns made??? serial #'s???

My dads got an old 258B 20 ga. its a clay bustin mofo. Dunno the years made, quick email with the serial #s to savage will surely tell the tale...
