Question New Guy

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and from reading the posts, you boys sure know your stuff. I hope you can help me. In the early 80's I bought a 50 cal. percussion model muzzleloader kit imported by Armsport in Miami Fla., model # 5226. Also on the barrel it's stamped Made In Spain #36 in one place and another place is stamped EXA 5502. 30 years later I need parts and found that Armsport Inc. is out of business and I can't find anything on the gun anywhere. Can anyone give me any info or tell me if a sidelock from another manufacturer would fit. It was a kit but it's a beautiful gun and it shoots very well and I 'd like to keep it. Thanks.

The trigger mechanism doesn't work properly. I think the parts are worn and the rear trigger clicks like it sets the front trigger, but it doesn't. I'm sorry, I don't know how to attach a photo from the computer to this document.

I'd try cleaning the trigger. Is the adjustment screw set right?

Take off the side lock and look it over. Maybe just needs some cleaning, but if worse comes to worse, Dixie Gun Works, Union TN sells locks that will fit about everything ever made, or lock parts.
