what system are you using? Win98, Vista, Win 7 ? Is this a new unit that replaced an older one? Is there any way you can try it via USB port? Also, what brand/model of scanner?

Beth, I have the all-in-one printer but it isnt wireless...and with yours being wireless I really cant say how/what would be the problem, less you have to install the hardware that came with the all-in-one printer to your PC???

so, you've very recently upgraded?

You may need to update your drivers, you need uninstall scanners and then reinstall.

I posted the HP link in above post, but forgot to add this...

It will affect the printer also, I don't have much exp w/ Vista though. You will probably be best served to completely uninstall the device and then re-install with the software provided. What HP model is it?

Hopefully it will. If it doesn't, then check the HP site and update the drivers, that should do it.

I bought the girls ( both teens ) 10mp dig cameras for Christmas, got some great deals on refurbs online. They were both happy and still happy with them. Paid less than $50 each w/shipping and they're both over $100 retail cameras.

I'd say if your camera is in Jamaica, your chances of seeing it again is...uhh, about ZERO!

You must update the scanner driver.
Go into the control panel and select printer/scanner, etc.
If you have a different model, you prolly won't need to uninstall your old one.
You will have to install new driver for the new model. You must have a disc
that came with the new all-in-one, use it, you should get the set-up wizard
just by loading the disc. This is the best way. You can also check on HP solutions
for more info. When the drivers are loaded you should have an icon on your desktop
to double-click for further info. You may get 2 icons that look the same, but take you 2 different places, one for info, one for a control panel, check both. You will prolly have to go back into the Control Panel and click on the model you have for the software to be read and functional. I apologize, but I have to leave for PA and will not be available for awhile to help.

I have an HP printer/scanner/copier also. For some reason I cannot scan pictures into my PC unless I've inserted a memory card (CompactFlash Card) into the memory card slot. In fact just now when I removed the card from the printer to read it's label, I received one of those "device removed" warnings on my PC. Somehow it must be a part of the connection.
