LOL Josh, Im looking at them now, but they arent shown on guns. The stainless doesnt show off some of the more striking wood designs, so I'd like to see some folks' grips ON thier stainless guns so I can make a decision. The darker colors seem to look more striking to me, but Im not sure.

Look at slide 44
I like a darker color on the SS or alum frames. Just my personal taste. Here is a set I thought look nice also. Has some checkering for control and some nice hues of blue in it http://www.*********.com/Auction/Vie...Item=214974752

Grip panels change the way the gun and panels look drastically. You can look at the grips and really like them and then when installed they won't be as attractive, and visa versa, they may look awesome. I only have a couple pictures for you to look at. So I will post them here. If I can help in any other way, just give me a shout. Ever thought about building your own?

I have been going through this exact question in my mind for some time now. I ahve a Sig GSR Revolution with the XO finish, I can;t decide on what grip I would like on the gun. I have some medallions I would love to send off to Carl (woodnut) and have him build me a set of grips and inlay the medallions. The pictures that Jay posted the last gun titles VBOB to me would look sweet on my gun. What type of wood is that? I also thought of Ivory, I have a horn that I bought some time ago that is ivory and wonder if it can be slabbed to make a set of grips from it then add some gold accents to the gun such as mag release safety slide stop and possibly trigger. Just a thought. The Taurus 1911 in stainless with white grips and gold accents is a great looking gun.

That's Cocobolo.... and I erred on the nomenclature. I have the Classic CBOB.... the Valor VBOB, is next on the list....

thanks guys! Showed them all to Dad, & we're going to check out the RK gunshow in Fremont this coming weekend. If we can't find one there, I will be giving Carl a call!
