Default 1911-22

Browning to commemorate 100 years of the 1911 with a mini 1911 chambered in .22LR.

read the article in guns and ammo (craig boddington)

I WANT ONE!

Me too. I've been wanting a 1911 for years but can't justify the cost of ammo. A .22 is my favorite paper puncher. Browning has reduced the size to about 80% of the standard 1911 and I like the smaller frame.

Looks like a winner to me.

I like this one---full size and weighted mag---
and because my son gave it to me for Christmas.
Some 'Carl' grips would dress it up nice !

I have one of the Chiappa 1911-22s. When I read that story in the April G&A magazine, I decided, right then, that when they come out, I will sell the Chiappa and buy myself a Browning. I wonder what they will sell for?

with each gun to personally deliver them to me from Germany.
And each lady brings me a case of Marzen, or St. Pauli, etc.

MSRP on the brownings is 600 for both the A1 and the compact, I could prolly get one new for around 450 when they finally release...

The only down fall too most of these guns is they need ammo like CCI mini mag to work correctly.

I'm waiting for a couple of range reports, If the Browning's are halfway accurate then I'm a lost puppy. I need another .22 like I need yet another hole in my head, but I love the concept, What a trail gun it would make, with a wild bunch holster and belt of course.

My GSG has run very well with Federal bulk pak from WalMart, as well as Wolf MT. An occasional failure to fire, but that's the ammo.

I hope Browning has the foresight to make a big run of them while I save my pennies.

By the time I get to buy something it's usually out of production and has the value of a collector's item.

Maybe one of the magazines could offer one in their free monthly giveaway.

I keep passing up entering because the guns they offer don't interest me.

I enter all of them, even if I don't like it....If that 1 in a 1,000,000 thing happens and I win, I can always trade it in on something that I do like.

My Chiappa likes the Blazer ammo but not so much the Remington ammo.
