A while ago I asked everybody here about buying an anniversary model 1911. I also wanted to get a 1911 for SASS Wild Bunch.
Well, I killed two birds with one stone. I didn't want to buy a $3,000 gun or one with beautiful deep bluing and plated gold that would look like crap if I didn't keep it in a box. However, ALL the colt anniversary models have that right? Well apparently not. I found a Stainless 1911 in a old school style that has a great understated look as well as the stamp "100 years of Service" on the left side of the slide. I am quite pleased. I hope to shoot it next week!

Thanks,
I figured I post this because I thought that people might be interested in an Aniversary model that is not a decked out gold thing that costs as much as a lexus. I mean this model is not even mentioned on Colt's site!
