Hey guy's, any info or opinions out there on the Bushmaster Carbon 15 .223 rifle. I'm seein them with Red Dot sight included for $649.99! Is this one of those "you get what you pay for" deals? Over the years I've seen guns come out for very low price and then the following years they go up. I usually kick myself for not picking one up at the introductory price. What do you all think?

I can't speak for the quality but the BM Carbon 15 has been around for quite a while now.

I think they joined the same AR15 specials that S&W is doing with there AR15 M&P line. You could get them for about 650 right now. From what I know they function just fine for the casual shooter.

That seems like a really good deal. I paid more than that for my Oly Arms K16... though I sort of bought it in peak-Obama hysteria so prices were high on everything

Some sites are selling it for around $750-$800. It looks like a good deal, but I would still just gather about $700 and build a AR-15 from a stripped lower and complete upper kit.
I don't like that buttstock either. http://www.del-ton.com/ Get the chrome lined barrel, chrome bolt and carrier, m4 feed ramps......should be good to go. All you need after that is a stripped lower.....I have seen them for as little as $100 for a decent one. |

If it is the gun I am thinking of, it has a non collapsible stock, some of them came in a light camo print, it weighs something like 4 pounds with no sights and just a picatinny rail. If that is it I have one and the only draw back is that it does not have a forward assist. It is very well made as good as any Colt.

I have two Bushmaster's but neither one is a Carbon 15. Both are very good quality rifles with no problems from either one, and that sounds like a great price to me.

I looked at one last weekend and the price tag on it was around $729, or right about and it was the carbon model. Ive never owned one, but what I didnt like to hear was the shop owner telling me it's be good if it could hole a 3" group at 100yds!??? Ive never fired one, but how could that be...3" group at 100yds? I didnt and dont understand that?
