Being 59, maybe you are too old to know what 'computer lingo' is{or forum decorum}, since you were not raised in the 'electronic era'. [that being said, you did acknowledge this fact in a reply post to hunter]
BTW, I am quite a bit older than you....but, like any endeavor I seek out, I try to learn the basics {at least} of it before I dive in.
If your excuse is age and health for using this 'online yelling' and simply can not see the font to function.......then please explain how it is you seem to manage reading all that others post in reply using standard, non-bold type ???

The reply I am referring to is to hunter29180 on 3-30-2011 @ 2:49pm CDT

Reading stamps is the last thing you should do. If you found a Glock pistol with "A. Hitler" engraved on the slide, would you attempt to authenticate it?
Na!! if i did i would buy the bridge that was for sale...

although while the shape calls into question its authentication, and possibly the way the edge is done...could this have been a real knife some yaho fooled around and messed up? the stamp would then be the only clue? dont really think this but just examinating possibilitys so i dont "but that bridge" !

the only other way the real age of this knlfe could be proved is by carbon dating..quite expensive....

I couldn't resist. I have been following this thread for awhile. I am not knife expert by no means, so I have stayed out of it....even though I think the answers given very, very, very early on by Bill and a few others should have been enough.
