Default .22 magnum single shot bolt action rifle

I'm looking for .22 magnum single shot bolt action rifle. I think Mossberg made one, do y'all know of any other makes/models ? Henry makes one but I would like an older model.

Thanks,

Greg

There used to be a lot of pawn shops there in Alex. Look around some, you never know what you might find. And there are places on the internet to look also. Just type in your request for what you want, and enjoy! BTW, if I haven't welcomed you to the forum yet, Welcome aboard. I too used to live in Central LA, and still have some family there.

Why do/would you want a SINGLE shot ?

Consider getting a Savage model 93FVSS.

I'm sorry dude! I thought you said Centrail LA. I still know where you live! How far are you out of BR? You'll find more there than in Alex.

Thanks,

The Mossberg single shot was the 620k from 1959-60 and the 620ka from 1960-68. I don't know how plentiful they are though. Seems you see more chucksters, least I do.

Thanks for the reply and welcome . I was born and grew up in Baton Rouge (Broadmoor).
After I retired we bought our retirement home in Pointe Coupee (False River), we live on Bayou Chenal, 3 miles by water to the lake.

I'm going to check the pawn shops in BR.

I have a 93G but just like single shots. I also have a CZ452 .22 LR and use the single shot magazine. I thought about getting a CZ452 .22 magnum and using a single shot mag but I don't know if they have one for the 22 magnum.

I also like open sights, all my shooting is 50 yards and less .

Welcome GregD. I, like carver, thought your location read "Central Louisiana". Thats funny because I grew up about 30 minutes from Alexandria. Anyway if you are looking for something a little older and kinda cool I would suggest the Colt Colteer 1-22 .22 magnum. Good luck with your search.

You would think if the .17 works in the adapter, so would the .22 magnum .

I have a Marlin 883 with 3 x 9 scope for turkeys. It's nice and accurate. There are others as well. Try gun broker.com and see what turns up.

Back in the 1960s Mossberg made a single shot bolt action .22 Mag. It was called the "Chuckster" not very accurate as I recall. Ithica had a sigle shot lever gun in .22 Mag.Good luck
