A pawn broker in the area brought me a MAC10 that quit firing on one of his customers. The trigger has no resistance with the upper in place. Remove the upper and the bow fits under the back of the trigger and will release the hammer when the trigger is pulled. I can reach through the mag well and push the bow/disconnector back into place and every thing functions properly. But when the bolt is racked back the bow is again disconnected and will not rise back into firing position. The bow/disconnector also functions as the hammer sear and a spring at the rear of the lower receiver pushes the bow/disconnector forward into contact with the hammer as well as the trigger.
Anybody have any ideas as to why the bow/disconnector is staying disconnected? I am going to e-mail Cobray with this problem. Thank you all for your opinions and ideas.
