I voted for buying the clubs but gdmoody has the best answer yet. In times like this paying off debt is the best thing to do. Why pay a bank all of that interest. Pay it down and buy what ever you like... with cash!!!

I married a gal who was doing exceptionally well with golf, went to college on a scholarship 8th in the nation and you better believe I have to hold my own when it comes to golf. Having said that a new set of clubs is not the answer. Take some of the money and get private lessons. A good instructor will do more for you than any set of golf clubs. Now that you have covered that you need a new gun to take out your frustrations from playing golf. Besides letting here win at something just makes good marital sense.
