We're going to need much more information. Assuming you're talking about an H&K military type rifle???? Serial number, markings on receiver/barrel - including importer's stamp, how is it configured, etc.?

H&K G3 Semi-automatic Gas-operated rifle/carbine chambered in 7.62X51 NATO.
prices range between 1000 and 3000 depending on model and configuration...

The latest caliber or gear is no substitute for experience and skill. Rifles and cartridges don't make hits -- shooters do.
