Default winchester 1873 .38ca

I have a winchester 1873 .38cal that has been handed down thru the family, It has all the parts and is not missing anything. It shows normal wear, no cracks or breaks in the stock. The barrel is octogon in shape. The sn# is in the 120000 range just curious if anyone has an estimate on value?

Thank you for your replies.

Hello Jay,

Without the benefit of actually seeing your Model 1873 Sporting Rifle (or pictures of it), it could be worth anywhere from $1000 to $5000. The real answer is in all of the details we can not see. I highly recommend posting some pictures of the rifle.
