Hi, this is a High Standard Supermatic Trophy, Model 106 Military, Hamden Conn.
It has the long barrel, 7.25", fixed rear sight, about 90% blueing, with some rub and wear marks. Most of it is polished blue with some matte accents. I understand these are still considered to be an excellent shooter, compared to what is out there now? Anyone know?
Yes, it looks like it. But it also has some wear, which the pistol I mentioned did not. Basically, all the evaluations folks give, here or anywhere else, are best guesses. The real value of anything is what someone will pay for it.
I agree with Jim on the mint condition gun price estimate.
Simpson, LTD recently had a few of these(not exactly the same model, but very similar) in similar condition for sale in $450 range.
I would guess your gun would have a $400-450 retail value...
They are fantastic shooters, indeed.
