Default BT 99 recoil

Hi All,
My son is a competitive trap shooter. We bought him a BT 99 last year...he did ok with it. This year, it's knocking the heck out of him. We spent the money on a quality adjustable comb and butt plate...had it fitted to him...but still, problems.
I've investigated adding weight to the stock, doing a mercury reduder, etc...but want to go with the best option.
Who can help?
Thanks!

Mike,
How old is your son? Has he gained or lost weight, gotten taller - any physical change can/will require a readjustment of the stock fit. I've noticed how what I'm wearing (due to weather and temp. changes) makes a difference in how the gun fits me, how it comes back and subsequently how well I "shoot" and I don't have an expensive trap gun - just one that fits pretty well.

You can try porting the barrel and lengthening the forcing cone.
