I got a bunch of them 9MM pistols. I like the Browning Hi-Power the best.
None of them are as much fun to shoot as a nice worked over 1911. Zeke |

I really like my Omni 9mm with its 13 round magazines. This was and still is an over looked pistol. Sadly as most know Llama became known for making some real pieces of junk but in the mix are a few good pieces, the Omni happens to be one. I carried this piece for a number of years and it shows.
Here is a write up of the pistol that gives a pretty good description for those who are not familiar with the Omni pistols Omni .45 and 9mm double single action. Large uncomfortable grip for a small hands because of the double stack 13 round mag in 9mm. This was the most original and sophisticated pistol Llama ever designed, incorporating such unique features as ball bearings for the hammer pivot, separate drawbars for the single and double action sears, a deeply undercut trigger guard to allow high hand positioning for recoil control, a 13-round double-column magazine that tapered to a single column at the top for feed reliability and ease of insertion into the magazine well, and “buttressed” rifling, which used a 2-stage “step-down” from the lands to the grooves, for less bullet deformation and better gas seal. Most of these features have never been found all together in any other single design, and provide this pistol with an extremely smooth and reliable action. The omni was written up very favorably in the gun press when introduced in the early 1980’s, but it was not a commercial success, primarily because the sophistication of the piece led to production costs, and retail price, that far exceeded many of its more conventional rivals. The list price of the Omni 9mm in the 1983 Gun Digest was $599.99 at a time when SW Model 59 listed for only $371.50. While this doomed the commercial prospects of the Omni, it is still ground-breaking design that deserved more success, and is a very interesting and impressive collectible, not to mention a first-class weapon.

Sorry to poop on the parade but I've owned a Sig and sold it. The only 9's I have now are some Star autos in 9mm Largo. They feel more like a 45 when fired, and they look like them too.
If you can't it your target with a 1911 with 7+1 rds. Go call a cop with his 1000 rd Glock. I know it's true because I watch cop shows on TV.

Here are a couple of my favs. I don't mean to keep buying Rugers but everytime I try something out I end up liking the Rugers. I saw the P95 earlier in the thread and man I miss mine, I need to pick another one up.
By the way, how the heck do I re-size pics? |

I luv thier firepower, lots down range with out reloading. I hate how fat they are though, never comfy to me. Had a P89DC, great gun and I liked it a lot but my brother loved it so I gave it to him....he's bigger than me. If I get another hi-cap 9, it'll be the Hi Power....to me, its the exception (Murdoch knows what a 9 should be). Damn, its hard to get used to anything else when you're in love with ol' slabsides.

Nice looking piece that brings back memories...I sold my SW 39 and bought the M59 back in the 80's, kept it for awhile and traded it...
..Wish I still had it today...but it was a little bulky to conceal but a dream to shoot..Today the Beretta M92F and Springfield XD9 are in my 9mm inventory. There is a glimmer of a Sig 226 down the road a ways... |

I love my CZ75 Compact. Highpoint Firearms makes a 9mm carbine. I have heard that they are ugly, but shoot great and are reliable and affordable.
