Just bought a Sig 1911-22, way cool .22. feels just like a 1911!!! Price not too bad either. Was just looking at some guns in a big box store while the wife was getting some new tennis shoes. Saw and had to have it, I am lucky my wife likes guns also. Shoot it when I got home and was impressed!!

Looks like GSG is manufactoring them for Sig and their putting their name on them. They are a great gun, you'll be very happy with it. My GSG has been fantastic

The gunshop gunsmith couldn't fix it. Now it goes back to SIG with only 30 down the tube. What a piece of c....!! When I get it back I'm putting it on the gun trader. Last edited by bkanary; 05-19-2011 at 06:51 PM.. Reason: grammer |

Yup, that looks exactly like a GSG. The markings, takedown pins, safeties, etc. Not that its a bad thing at all; the GSG 1911 is an EXCELLENT pistol. What was the price on the Sig 1911-22?

An update, my guide rod broke last week and it mangled a few other things. I called and they were good about saying they would send me all the parts I needed except they told me first week of June for parts and now I hear that they are saying last week of June. Makes me sick that a 3 week old gun is useless. Like the gun, hope it's worth the wait. I'm hoping this wasn't a $330 experiment.

I have fired about 400 rds through mine and not any trouble at all. The only thing I don't like is the grip saftey. It is a little stiff but I hope it gets better. It is very accurate, was breaking a lot of clay pidgons on one of my targets. I think it will be very good to help on basic shooting skills. Oaklane I hope you get yours fixed soon!

Thank you Cutter. I agree with you, sure cuts down on ammo costs and am able to train with a 1911 platform. I have confidence that they will do whatever they need to do to solve the problems. I haven't even got to try the fake suppresor that came with it yet
