I have a luger with 6" barrel, DMW in script in top, all serial numbers match (9263) Wood tipped magazine with serial number, Gesichert under safety, adjustable sight. Any information about this or value would be appreciated.

Very nice 1916 dated "artillery" model. Appears to be about 90% condition, but it seems that the grips straps have some corrosion in the pictures - which would negatively affect the price.
Prices vary based on condition: 99% gun would retail for about $4000 90% gun - about $1750 extra pictures of the grip straps would be helpful for a better estimate of price. BTW, that is an 8 inch barrel... Last edited by valbehaved; 06-12-2011 at 05:37 PM.. |

Thank you, I'm not sure what you want another picture of.

He is refering to the area your hand would touch steel while firing it. In other words the fore strap in front of the magazine and the back strap to the rear of the magazine. In one of the photo's the front strap appears to be quite rust pitted. We are conserned these area could seriously affect the value of this pistol. So any extra photo's of these areas would get a more accurate value of your firearm.

Thanks for the pics.
Based on that additional information - I would estimate retail price to be around $1350-1500... |

Even so, it's still worth $1750.

The way Luger prices are climbing I would agree with wonderwhippit. Even with the grip area it is overall in very good condition and very desirable. I might even guess a higher value.

As some of you know, I am not one to inflate Luger values (like some I could mention) but with run of mill P.08 Lugers bringing $1200 and up, I would WAG that one at $2000 and maybe more.
