Default Walther P38

I've got a Walther P38 with the original box, magazines and holster but can't find much about the year it was made. It has the Walther banner on the slide as well as his full name to the right of the banner followed by Waffenfabrik ULM/Do.. Can anyone offer some insight?

I'll try to get a picture soon but it has the number 74 along the trigger guard followed by what appears to be an antler. It also has an "eagle" looking stamp with "N" underneath it in various locations.

Made in 1974, The antler is the Ulm proof house, and the Eagle N is the German proof.

There is a mild collector interest in the postwar P38 (not P.38) and ones LNIB and without the steel insert at the locking block ramp will bring $900 or so. There were some long barrel models and (later) some steel frame guns that bring more. AFAIK, there is no premium for any special year.
